FAQ
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT STEPS ARE REQUIRED TO BOOK YOUR SERVICES FOR MY WEDDING?

After responding to an initial inquiry via e-mail from my online inquiry form, confirmation of date availability is checked first then I respond with organising a trial. Once a trial is completed (you don’t have to have a trial although highly suggested) and you would like to proceed with a booking, then a final confirmation of services is requested, and a contract is sent out along with an initial invoice. As a general guideline, your booking is not secure, and your date is not reserved until your deposit is paid and advice is received of your confirmation to proceed.

DO YOU HAVE A TEAM?

I work independently however, if the number of your party exceeds my capabilities within the time frame, I can source and book trusted artists however, I cannot guarantee rates of the artist will be equivalent to my own.

IS A TRIAL REQUIRED and HOW LONG WILL SHOULD YOU ALLOW FOR?

While I always recommend having a trial of your bridal look before your big day, the trial is not mandatory to book your services.

I usually recommend 1.5 – 2 hours, the reasons is I like to take the time to really discuss your perfect look, refer to any inspiration images to ensure I create your bespoke bridal look.

HOW LONG WILL MY SERVICES TAKE?

For Bridal make up services, I usually allow 1 hour for the Bride and allow 45 minutes for bridal party members. For special occasion make up I usually allow 45-1 hour.  I will usually arrive 15 minutes ahead of our scheduled start time to set up.

HOW DOES TIMING WORK FOR THE WEDDING DAY, DO YOU TRAVEL?

I will customise a timetable for your wedding day service once the time you will need to be completed is advised to me. From my professional experience – it is usually one week prior to the wedding day and once confirmation from the photographer is advised. So as advised above, I’ll create a timetable based on the time I’ll need to have all bridal party members ready in time. This timetable is flexible and from my experience it’s good to have a run sheet however, I am flexible on the day and work with my fellow hair professionals to ensure we meet our time of completion.

DO YOU TRAVEL?

Yes, I can travel to your destination wedding outside of NSW. Depending on the distance I will have to add on additional changes for travel and accommodation if an overnight or more night’s stay is required.

DO YOU CHARGE A TRAVEL FEE?

Yes, usually if you are within the 30 kms radium from my residence (Camden area) than I have a standard flat rate however, if it is outside of this than it will have to be an additional change and based on the distanced travelled.

ARE FALSE LASHES INCLUDED

IN MY SERVICES?

Yes, all makeup services receive complimentary faux lash application.

CAN YOU HOLD MY DATE?

The demand for my services during peak wedding months is very high, and for that reason dates cannot be held for any period of time. My availability is offered on a first come, first served basis and are only secured by returning a paid deposit and confirmation of booking.

WHAT PRODUCTS DO YOU USE?

All of the items utilized in my kit are of high professional quality and have been carefully selected for their ability to photograph beautifully while still maintaining a natural, fresh finish. To ensure durability throughout the day, all of the products that I use are professional grade, long-wearing, and water resistant. Selected brands include NARS, Charlotte Tilbury, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, RCMA Makeup, Ben Nye, Tom Ford Beauty, Hourglass, Benefit, MAC Cosmetics, Glossier, Tom Ford, Make Up Forever, Bobbi Brown, Dior, and Chanel.

DO YOU OFFER ADDITIONAL SERVICES?

Yes! In addition to your wedding day, I am also available for engagement photos, hen’s nights, kitchen tea & bridal showers and rehearsal dinner services. I also offer Wedding Day touch up service and this is suggested especially in the warmer months. These sessions are highly requested and are a great addition to your bridal services.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO BOOK?

Generally, most brides book their bridal services one year to nine months in advance, but I recommend securing your hair and makeup artist well in advance to secure their availability.

____________
SKIN TIPS as we know great make up starts with the best canvas…

The quality of your make up is dependent on the care of your skin and if you aren’t looking after your skin then it’s very important that you are in the lead up to your Wedding.

In addition to a great home care routine, I always highly suggest seeing a professional esthetician (for those in Sydney, I’ll link my recommended clinics below) and that will give you every chance to get your skin glowing and wedding ready!

Clean your face

I know it sounds so simple right, but how many of you are really washing your face correctly. put those Neutrogena wipes down and grab a bottle of cleanser to remove that make up, build-up of dirt oils and debris from the day.

Exfoliate on the reg

With anything but St.Ives Apricot Scrub

Exfoliating your skin is the key to really get your skin next level and get that glow+ so many great benefits like helping your products absorb and work better! Without getting too technical, our skin is made up of many layers and our skin naturally sheds dead skin cells to make room for new cells every 30 days or so and it’s important we remove them gently. Yes you heard, gently – no harsh scrubs or heavy toners as they may damage your moisture barrier and cause more than good.

Hydration

Your skin needs hydration and the older we get it needs more of it. Adding a hyaluronic serum to your routine will plump up your skin and help with the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Think about a prune all dry and dehydrated, well with hydration think of a plump, shiny grape – that’s what we want. Now think, dry dehydrated skin equals dry, dehydrated looking make up. Nobody wants that, now go get hydrated and add that serum!

Moisturizer

It’s very important as the last step in your routine as a moisturise locks all the ingredients into your skin. The skin is your body’s largest organ, and it is constantly shedding cells. Moisture in your skin helps it repair itself constantly… It prevents is from drying out and ensures the skins lipids regulate moisture balance and minimise water loss.

SPF

The myth around clogging your pores, breakouts and having flash back in photos– that’s untrue, sunscreen has come a long way. Find a sunscreen that works for your skin as there are so many benefits, it’ll protect you from UVA and UVB, lowers your risk of skin cancer, helps maintain an even skin tone and prevents premature aging.
